Description of current housing |
Indoor area -- the chimp house is designed for diversity of group formation and enclosure styles. The interior design allows movement throughout the building. The chimps can choose to watch staff activities or move to a group or private space at will. The indoor building includes:
Outdoor area -- islands and grounds areas sit on a total of 200 acres of field, woods and pond and include:
The chimphouse and outdoor area sit on 5 acres of land about half of which is the islands/ moat and half the footprint of the multilevel interior. The skywalks span considerable acreage of the property.
